The Moselle meanders 544 kilometres from the Vosges, where it rises, to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, where it then flows into the Rhine. It is divided into three sections, the Upper Moselle, the Middle Moselle and the Lower Moselle. We are therefore right in the sweet spot between Trier and Pünderich and offer you the perfect starting point to explore the Moselle valley. In our region, viticulture meets activities for young and old.

Cities and towns in the area
At every turn, you are literally followed by the Romans in Germany’s oldest city. Everywhere you look, you will meet Roman history in Trier.
Nestled in the picturesque Moselle Valley, lies the romantic town of Bernkastel-Kues. Discover the historic old town of Bernkastel. Or wander across the bridge to Kues, the other part of town.
Nestled in the unique wine landscape is the twin town of Traben-Trarbach and is often referred to as the Pearl of the Moselle. High above the village towers the ruins of the Grevenburg and down by the river gleam the stately Art Nouveau villas.

Hiking by the Moselle river
Whether on the most beautiful hiking trails high above the vineyards or the banks of the river - the Moselle region offers diverse and attractive hiking trails for its visitors. Here, both young and old get their money's worth.
Cycling along the Moselle
Along the Mosel, a several hundred kilometres long, well-developed cycle path network for long distance bike rides -usually along the river’s bank and no hills.
A cruise on the Moselle is a very special experience. From April to October, you will pass world-famous vineyards and the many small Moselle villages on the right and left banks of the river.

Do you have your own boat and want to take a tour along the Moselle? You have enough space at our hotel's own jetty to stop for a meal or to take a break overnight. A stopover is always worthwhile.
